Qualified electronic signature preservation service
The qualified electronic signature preservation service contains an extended set of web service methods to:
-
Register a document provided with a validable electronic signature, seal or time stamp in the SecuSign service (Preserve_register).
-
extend the validity and validability of a signature, stamp or time stamp by attaching a new time stamp (Preserve_update).
-
Get details of a registered document and its electronic signatures (Preserve_getInfo).
-
Get details of registered documents and their electronic signatures, seals and time stamps that need to be extended before their validity expires (Preserve_getForUpdate).
-
And to unregister a document and preserved electronic signatures from the qualified SecuSign service (Preserve_unregister).
A registered document with an electronic signature, seal or time stamp is provided with a qualified electronic time stamp from a qualified trust service provider – PostSignum (Czech Post). During preservation the service attaches to the signature revocation data and metadata complying with PAdES, CAdES or XAdES specification. A registered document is provided with a unique identifier (DocID), which can be used to request details of the preserved signatures. To attach revocation data / metadata to a registered document, it is necessary that the signature is not too fresh (it is not signed a few milliseconds or seconds before preservation).
